3.1 - Choosing a BIC Version
Choosing a BIC:
There are two versions of the BIC (Blink Intelligent Client) that you can choose: BIC2 or BIC3.
The decision of which to choose can be based on a number of factors.
Generally speaking, if you’re starting from scratch, BIC3 is probably the better choice as you’ll have an easier time with some of the more advanced functionality, and you will get better out-of-the-box displays and jQueryMobile widgets.
If you have very large forms (hundreds of fields), and you’re not able to split them into smaller forms, then you may need a more lightweight display, and therefore BIC2 may be your better choice.
To choose your version of BIC, login to the BlinkMobile Interaction Manager:
You should be able to use your Google account to login. It is possible to use the classic login service, but it is not recommended for security reasons (basically, sharing passwords between multiple users is a bad idea - by using your individual Google accounts, multiple people can access the same answerSpace, and remain secure).
Once you login, go to the answerSpace Setup link on the dashboard.
In the General section, near the top of the page you will see: BIC Version
Here you can choose either BIC2 or BIC3.
Once you choose your version, scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save. This will reload the Configuration page with settings specific to the BIC version you just chose.
