4.7 - SubForm operation
Sometimes you are not quite sure how many of a certain field you will need on your Form. Quite often this is the case with Camera fields on Forms.
Take this example: A user has a Form that collects information about a location and as part of the process, the user needs to take photos of the location. Now, before arriving at the location the user does not know how many photos they will need to take, additionally some locations may warrant more photos than others.
Subforms are a great solution to this problem as the developer can add a subform containing a Camera field to the main form, thus allowing the end user to add as many Camera Subforms as required on a per Form submission basis.
Adding a SubForm to your parent form
As far as the way it is rendered on the page, a SubForm is treated much like a regular form field. To add a SubForm to your form go to Step 3 in the Form Builder and click on the green Add Subform button.
Green "Add SubForm" button
Once added, a dialogue box will show asking you to choose a SubForm field name. At this point you can also choose to use an existing SubForm within the parent form. If you choose to create a brand new SubForm, a pop up box will appear allowing you to customise your SubForm. Click "Next Step >>" to move through the different screens.
