About the Platform
Throughout our documentation, you will see the term ‘Blink Mobility Platform’ used.
The word “Platform” is used to describe a number of different levels of capability. Rather than a set of libraries, the Blink Mobility Platform differs in that it is an Enterprise Mobility Platform.
The characteristics of an Enterprise Mobility Platform are:
- High-level building blocks with which to build functionality. An Enterprise Mobility Platform should be quick to enable mobile functionality. Doing “difficult” things should be made easy and supportable.
- Ready to go “delivery containers” which make setting up security, navigation, device-specific function access and online/offline operation straightforward and maintainable
- Ready to go cloud-based delivery infrastructure for all aspects of the design, development and deployment process. A highly robust delivery infrastructure with enterprise-grade services that simplifies the systems management aspects of mobile delivery
- A single management system that allows you to manage many mobile deliveries to many different classes of users on many different devices with ease
The Blink Mobility Platform is a MEAP
. We distinguish ourselves from other MEAP vendors with our distinct user focussed approach. In our Platform, we start with the user, and our architecture is focussed around the concept of an interaction-oriented design. Our Platform gives you a unified management system from which to develop, configure and test, and then deploy many varied solutions.
It's a simple 3 step approach:
Build:
Self-contained Interactions built from building blocks that do the ‘heavy lifting’ of repurposing existing information and services to multiple devices.
Load:
Those Interactions into ready-to-go containers, called ‘answerSpaces’. You can customise the look and feel, enforce security, allow access to mobile navigation, configure offline options via ‘data suitcases’ and implement device-specific behaviours.
Deploy:
Once configured, the answerSpace gets deployed to Amazon Web Services. This gives you access to a stable, highly scalable infrastructure that is both audit-able and recoverable if needed.
