Platform Credentials Management

Platform Credentials Management

Once you have been assigned a new answerSpace, all maintenance and development is done via the answerSpace Administration area.

See answerSpace creation on how to be assigned or modify answerSpaces

answerSpace Administration

The url is located at (yourservice / admin.)  i.e. https://blinkm.co/admin .

As a developer / administrator you will need credentials to manage answerSpaces.

Here you will find two authentication methods.

  • Single Sign-On
  • Classic Login Process

Single Sign-In Process

(Released 2015)

Once you have been assigned an answerSpace and you are already registered with BlinkMobile via Auth0 you can simply use the one click login in button.

Important

At time of writing, You will require a valid Google Account to use this process.

Additional oAuth vendors may be added in future platform updates.

You will then have access to all your assigned answerSpaces .

All your answerSpace credentials are stored within the Auth0 account. Benefits include:

  • Single sign in process
  • Personal secure access to the BlinkMobile Platform
  • Secure, token driven so no credentials are passed via the internet.
  • No need to store lists of passwords and logins details.
  • Quick and easy switching between answerSpaces.

How does it work?

BlinkMobile has incorporated Auth0 into the platform administration for a one click authentication process.

Now with a valid Google account you can easily administrate any answerSpaces allocated to you.

Administrator Management

Once within a selected answerSpace, as the primary user you can also assign other uses to administer that answerSpace security.

Using the Administrator Management menu you can now:

  • Add additional  Administrators / Users
  • Delete Administrators / Users
  • Remove Classic User credentials

Add Additional Administrator / Users

Once within a selected answerSpace, you can add additional users by:

  1. Typing their email address in the text box on the left
  2. Clicking the blue "Add Administrators" button.
  3. If the administrator / user is already registered with BlinkMobile that user will automatically be added to the list of registered users and will have instant access to the answerSpace.
  4. If the administrator / user is not registered with BlinkMobile you can invite them by pressing the yellow "Invite" button

    Important

At time of writing, You will require a valid Google Account to use this process.

Additional oAuth vendors may be added in future platform updates.

This process is only required once for all BlinkMobile Services.

  5. An email will then be sent to the potential administrator / user's email address for validation.

  6. The administrator / user will need to click the attached link and login to the requested oAuth vendor to complete the process.

  7. The administrator / user will need to click the attached link and login to the requested oAuth vendor to complete the process.

    Important

    Please note step 8

  8. Once the administrator / user approval process is complete you will need to repeat Step 2  "Add Additional Administrator / Users" process to allow access.

Delete Administrators / Users

To remove an administrators / user simply click the red"Minus Button" next to the administrators / users name and confirm the deletion.

Remove Classic User credentials

Classic user credentials were created prior to the release of the Single Sign-On process.

While they are currently valid they are traditionally considered a weak security measure and should be removed when possible.

To remove them , simply click the red"Minus Button" next to the classic login name and confirm the deletion.

This will remove the login and the stored password from the answerSpace.

Note : Once removed the answerSpace can only be accessed via the Single Sign-On method.

Classic Login Process

Once you have been assigned a new answerSpace you would have received an answerSpace login and a password.

In the Classic Login Process the answerSpace login would be the "answerSpace name - admin" and a generated password.

You would simply use the login and password to gain access to the answerSpace.

This would require you to keep a manual listing of all your answerSpace credentials.
