About Browser Modes

The BlinkMobile Platform functions on all browsers, however there are differences in how an answerSpace will interact with your users, based upon the Mode that the Platform detects.

Our Interaction Manager allows certain settings to be overridden based on certain conditions ('iOS', 'Android', 'tablet', 'jQuery', etc.). When devices connect to our platform, the features they support are identified and they are categorised based on which mode will deliver the best user experience on that device.

To determine whether your browser has the required support for certain features, see The HTML5 Test .

For performance reasons, our platform currently performs its identification routines only once every 15 minutes.

If you modify your user agent string then you should be aware of this.

Our platform operates in two Modes: basic-mode and advanced-mode.

Advanced and Basic Modes

The terms 'advanced' and 'basic' modes refer to the features that are available to a user depending upon the mobile browser that they are using on their device.
