Distributing an Android app

To distribute Android apps internally or outside via one of the numerous Android app stores (Google, Amazon, various carriers, etc) the process is quite simple.  

Currently not available in the Blink App Factoryl. The process is still being provided by Blink Mobile Support Team.

    1. Prepare your package of images to be used with the application.  This includes the splash screens (horizontal and vertical) and icon. Please ensure that these images are the recommended sizes as described in "What are the Application Shell artwork sizes?". Non recommended sizes     will result in the images being returned.
    2. Go to the BlinkMobile Support Portal and lodge a new ticket with the Category of ‘Application Provisioning’. Fill in the required fields. 

NOTE: APPLICATION PROVISIONING PRIORITIES SHOULD BE CLASSIFIED AS ‘NORMAL’ UNLESS THERE ARE EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES AND YOU HAVE SPOKEN TO SUPPORT DIRECTLY.

  1. BlinkMobile will create the app and send it back to you.
  2. You will need to locate the app in a secure area of your website for download by users.
  3. You should test the functionality of the app thoroughly prior to distribution.

 For external distribution, the Android Market (Google Play) is the first and best known place to locate Android applications. BlinkMobile recommends customers use this for app distribution when wide visibility is required. 

BlinkMobile can submit apps on behalf of the customer, or the customer can register with Google Play and submit under their corporate identity. 

The primary requirements for distribution via Google Play are:
